Zoo

We made it to the zoo at the beginning of the month. At first Cameron was terrified of all the animals. He finally loosened up a bit and started enjoying himself.

This is when Cameron started growling at the big cats.

There was a new baby giraffe and a baby elephant. It was a good day. It was such a big day, Cameron actually fell aslpeep sitting up while Daddy was holding him.

Now we're just struggling to keep everyone healthy at our house. It's been a constant battle all month.

Fall is here

It's been so long since I've posted. So much has happened. Cody went and took his test. He is now an office yellow belt. He's worked so hard. We are so proud of him.

Lily is deep into soccer, but I haven't gotten any pictures to post yet. Cameron is growing fast. Here are some pictures I took when we went to get pumpkins.

Catch up

I haven't posted in a while, so I have lots to catch up on. For starters, Cameron slept all night last night in his big boy bed! He is growing up so fast. He has a new found love for his life jacket and his bike helmet. I'm not sure where this comes from, but he doesn't want to take them off.

Cody had his 9th birthday! He had a blast with his friends. We have a pinata every year on his birthday.

And, a good time was had by all on 4th of July!

My Favorite Place...

My favorite place is my porch swing. My biggest stipulation when we built our house years ago was a porch big enough to hold a porch swing. My swing is a handmade gift from my uncle Mike. On the weekends I love to get up early, go out on my porch swing, and read or just enjoy God's beauty. Usually I do this while everyone else is sleeping. But now and again I enjoy my swing with our youngest.

I think he's learning to enjoy it as much as I am. Oh, the scratch on his face is from a fight at daycare. He got hit in the face with a toy. These pics are a few weeks old so the scratch has healed and all is well.

Yellow!

Cody received his first yellow stripe on his Tae Kwan Do belt last night!!! He was so excited, and we are so proud! He absolutely loves it and enjoys his teacher too.

Even Cameron is learning a little Tae Kwan Do. He's about one beat behind the class when he says his "Ha"! Anything to be like big brother.

Mini Van

Yes, I have done it! I have finally crossed over. We bought a mini van last weekend. It's a Toyota, and I love it! I'm surprised at how much I do love it. It's so easy to get the kids in and out of, and it rides smooth.

Cameron loves it too! So long as he has his snack and his headphones, he's good to go. Lily loves the fact that she has the back all to herself!

We're looking forward to a nice visit with Pedro's brother and his family that are coming in this weekend from Oklahoma.

Family

My grandmother passed away and we spent last weekend saying goodbye and packing things up at her house. Here's a picture of the kids in the swing in her backyard where I played as a kid. I loved that swing.

We got to meet the newest members of our family, Henry and Brody. Such cute babies! We played with cousins and even shared our crackers with Zimri & Abel.

Of course when we got home, we had to cut grass. I'm not sure why the bike helmet is required to cut grass, but it was. Cameron loves to help Dad!

Easter

The weather was beautiful, and we had a wonderful weekend. On Saturday we dyed eggs. I had some dye in mugs and Cameron almost drank it.

On Sunday we hunted eggs. We hunted at home early Sunday morning before church. Then at Grandma & Grandpa's after church, and later in the day at Uncle Jerry's. Cameron didn't want to put down his new truck to look for eggs. He had to open every egg as he found them. He would say, "My yegg!" It was too cute!

I think Cody had more fun riding the 4wheeler with cousin Landon than he did hunting eggs.

Pointing the finger

Our two year old, Cameron has already learned how to point the finger at his brother or sister. He's way too good at it. We are potty training. After we got home last night, I walked into the living room to find him in the squat position. He immediately pointed at Cody and said, "Cody peed in floor." The look on Cody's face was priceless. They learn so quickly to blame others.

Cameron has also learned how to climb out of his crib. There's no more rest for the weary at our house. Now when he's up, we're all up.

The Weekend

We spent last weekend at Tan-Tar-A. We had tickets to the indoor water park, thanks to a friend at Learfield. The kids had a blast! Lily wouldn't leave the pool area that had basketball hoops in it. I took our older, smaller camera in so I wouldn't get our new camera wet. When I went to take pictures, I realized I had left the memory card in the new camera in our room. So, no pictures at the water park. We really did have a good time!

This image is Christmas 2009. Lily, Cameron & Cody. For those of you who don't already know (and love them) Lily is 11 and was adopted from China in 2003 at the age of 4 1/2. Cody is 8 and was adopted from Guatemala in 2002 at 8 mos. Cameron is 2 was a biological gift from God.
